Watchmen's Rorschach to be Freddy Krueger?

Yes, you read the title correctly. As if most of you did not know by now, Micheal Bay is also re-imaging Wes Craven's "Nightmare on Elm Street" just as he did recently with "Friday the 13th".

But what's this? Robert Englund will not take the role of Freddy?

The above statement is 100% true. Robert said earlier in an interview that he was too old for the new version.

"Anyway, I'm too old for this new version, otherwise it would be Freddie vs. Viagra."

So who will be taking the role?

None other than Watchmen's very own Rorshach (Jackie Earle Haley), At least that's who they are looking at to be playing the part.




I can see a slight resemblance, so maybe it won't be so noticeable.

Robert also said that he would like to make a cameo appearance instead of playing the role.

Let's just hope that they use more animatronics and puppetry than they do CG effects like the original movies. CG can sometimes be overwhelming and, if not done correctly, can look extremely bad.
